Handmade leather covers – now for trucks, boats and machines

Since 2007 we have made handmade leather steering wheel covers for cars. Now the same genuine leather and the same X-stitch pattern – the one you sew on yourself when you fit the cover – go further: grab handles in truck cabs, boat rails and tillers, forklift and tractor steering wheels, go-kart and sim racing rims, bicycle grips and oar leathers. Each cover is made to your measurements.

What we make

Trucks: cab, door, dashboard and sleeper bunk grab handles, seat armrests.

Boats: grab rails, pedestal guard rails, pushpit and pulpit rails, tillers, outboard tiller handles.

Machines: forklift, tractor, loader and grader, bus, golf cart and ride-on mower steering wheels, valve handwheels.

Sport and home: go-kart and sim racing wheels, flight sim yoke grips (pair), bicycle grips (pair), oar leathers (pair), door handles, wheelbarrow grips (pair), bow grips, game controller grips (pair).

How to measure

For a handle, rail or tube: the length to cover, the circumference and the number of mounts (and the distance between them). For a steering wheel or handwheel: the outer diameter, the grip circumference and the number of spokes with their width. Our measuring guide explains more. Send the measurements in an eBay message after you order – production starts only once we have them and confirm them.

Leather and thread colours

Black smooth or black perforated leather. Seat armrests, pedestal guard rails, pushpit/pulpit rails, flight sim yoke grips, bow grips and game controller grips come in black smooth leather with black thread only. For the other products we have separate listings with black, red, blue, grey or beige thread, plus "20 Thread Colours" listings where you pick any colour from our 20-colour thread chart. Coloured leather is available on request, at no extra cost, on our smooth leather listings.

How it works

1. Order on eBay.

2. Send your measurements.

3. We make your cover by hand (production time as stated in the listing).

4. We post it to you. The cover arrives with its edges already stitched and comes with a needle and strong thread – you lace it on yourself, with no holes to punch. Our fitting page shows how.
