The UK classic car season has one last big weekend before winter: the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show at the NEC in Birmingham, from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 November 2026. Expect more than 3,000 cars from hundreds of clubs, plus trade stands and a classic car auction. This year the organisers moved the show to the second full weekend of November, so for the first time in many years it does not fall on Remembrance Sunday.
If you are taking your car to a club stand, or walking the halls for ideas for next year's project, the interior is where a lot of restorations are won or lost. The steering wheel is the part you touch on every drive – and on many classics it is also the part that has aged worst.
A worn wheel, without a new wheel
Cracked plastic, sticky foam or a rim polished smooth by decades of hands does not mean you have to hunt for a replacement wheel. A real leather cover, cut to fit your exact wheel, gives a firm, warm grip and a period-correct look – and the original wheel stays on the car, airbag and horn included.
Made in Devon, fitted by you
Every Shades of Tuning cover is cut to your wheel and its edges are stitched in our workshop in Devon. You lace it on yourself with the needle and thread in the pack – no holes to punch, no glue and no tools. Our step-by-step fitting video and printable instructions are on our fitting page, and if your model is not in the shop, our measuring guide shows how to take the two measurements we need.
Covers are dispatched within 3 working days with free UK delivery (Royal Mail Tracked 48) – order by early November and your car can wear its new wheel at the show. Colours shown on screen are for reference only and may vary slightly depending on your screen settings and resolution.
